S'mores Crumb Bar

My home had some marshmallows leftover so before it went to waste, a recipe was found to finish the bag: S'mores Crumb Bar. The recipe was found on Allrecipes by its nifty search feature that allowed finding recipes according to the ingredient wanted. There were quite a few dishes that are made with marshmallows but this one caught my attention.

Alterations were made to the original recipe.

1 - 14.4 oz box of graham crackers, grounded
3 sticks of butter
2/3 cup sugar
3 cups mini marshmallows
1 - 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

    1.  Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
    2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, butter and sugar. Press into 13x9x2 inch pan.
    3. Sprinkle with marshmallows and chocolate chips.
    3. Top with remaining crumb mix.
    4. Bake for 10 minutes.

Getting ready to mix the butter and graham crackers.

Marshmallows and chocolate chips before it gets covered.

Covered! And its moment before the oven.

After the oven: It doesn't look much different from the previous picture except for the darker looking parts.

This recipe was decadently amazing. Its chocolate and marshmallow fusion was perfectly tempered with graham crackers. I was worried that the fusion would have been overly sweet even with the graham crackers. Luckily that didn't happen. The taste of the S'mores Crumb Bar was well-balanced but in addition to taste, the ease of this recipe was a perk.

The S'mores Crumb Bar does not require a lot of time and it was so easy to make. It probably took me 10 minutes to throw everything together and another 10 to bake it. Twenty minutes for all this means that if I had a last minute get together or needed to make dessert ASAP, this would definitely be an option.
